Who are we?

Damse Kaasmakerij was established in 1989 on a centuries-old farm in Damme, in the polders around Bruges. What started out as a hobby soon became a real passion.

Here we learnt about Taste!

As a small company we had to be inventive and this is still reflected in how we operate today.

From the outset, we specialised in cheeses with a natural rind.

It all started with our first love, our Damse Mokke, which is made of cow's milk. after which we developed versions with goat's and sheep's milk. Over time, we extended our range to incluse a number of Brie cheeses. Our sense of solidarity and our respect for people, animals and nature means we choose to only work with organic milk.

Can you eat the outside of the cheese?

Yes you can, most of the flavor is in the rind of the cheese.

Where do we sell our cheeses? 

We do not have a shop in our cheese factory and therefore only sell B2B.
